Art gallery receptions and nightclub afterparties…another chapter on why we love Miami!
KidRobot produces limited edition artist-created toys and collectibles that are available in select shops around the world, including a dazzling little outpost right here on South Beach. To add to the cache of the brand, each retail shop features a gallery of hip new work by influential artists like Francesco LoCastro, the Italian contemporary painter who currently makes his home in South Florida.
Inspired by Miami’s unique identity, LoCastro has created a new series of artwork entitled 305 // NEON LIFE which will make it’s debut at the KidRobot Miami Art Gallery Thursday Night, November 5 at 6pm. This fanciful collection juxtaposes the sunny veneer of the city with the haunting recollections of it’s checkered past.
Francesco LoCastro founded the Pop Art Studios and the Gen Art Vanguard Fair which makes him one Miami’s most directional contemporary artists of the past decade. Exhibiting his work throughout the US and Europe, LoCastro keeps his art accessible with shows like this public partnership with KidRobot which will celebrate his new pieces with KREL DiscGlo fashion models and a special set by DJ Jose El Rey.
Once the music fades and the crowds have finished toasting LoCastro’s work, an afterparty is scheduled at SHAKE at the Vagabond in Downtown Miami. Be among the first to see this South Florida-inspired collection at KidRobot Thursday night.
KidRobot Miami Art Gallery is located at 638 Collins Avenue on South Beach. The reception for LoCastro’s 305// NEON LIFE collection takes place Thursday November 5 from 6-8pm and will be open to the public through December 9. The afterparty at the Vagabond will be held at 30 NE 14 Street in Downtown Miami.
