Art Battles: A Live-art Competition Comes to Miami

February 9, 2010 by Group

Here’s one you really shouldn’t miss. If you’ve ever seen an Art Battles event up in NYC you know it’s a live-art competition where artists create work side- by-side in front of a live audience. For nine years Art Battles has been a platform for new and talented artists to showcase their skills in and around NYC in a setting where there’s a tremendous amount of pressure to perform — after all, people ARE watching.

Art Battles is now doing a national tour and Miami is the first stop on a schedule that includes major cities such as: Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and Charlotte.

The Miami addition of Art Battles will be at Eazy Street Gallery. Featured artists will have installations of their most recent work for two-weeks after the show opens on February 27, 2010. Opening night music will be by Miami’s own DJ ALUKARD.

The following artists will show their images of South Florida:

AMANDA VALDES
JEFF DEKAL
SVETLANA KEPEZHINSKAS
NF ROMERO
KAZILLA
JULIE L. FRIEL
ANDRES CORREA

Saturday, February 27, 2010   8:00 PM.

EAZY STREET GALLERY
3501 NW 2nd Av
Miami, FL 33127
