Galerie Art et Culture

We would like to welcome visitors from Galerie Art et Culture (galerie d’artistes peintres à montréal) featuring many fine artists.

The Gallery Art & Culture, was located in the historic district of Old Montreal, and was a non-figurative works gallery. The brick walls and wooden beams gave the building dating from the beginning of the century and a warm and intimate atmosphere.

All paintings were original and the selection is varied. Owners Hélène Doucet and Ron St-Martin (below by Rudnev) ran the gallery for over fifteen years, and welcomed visitors to a world of color, taste and originality.

Thoughts on Democracy Exhibition in Miami Beach

rockwellThe FIU-Wolfsonian’s innovative Thoughts on Democracy: Reinterpreting Norman Rockwell’s Four Freedoms Posters exhibition will be on view in Miami Beach at the City Hall Gallery, September 2 – 29, Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Thoughts on Democracy brings together original works inspired by Norman Rockwell’s “Four Freedoms” posters that were created by 60 renowned contemporary artists and designers including Elliott Earls, Chip Kidd, Experimental Jetset, Scott Stowell, and others. (more…)

Clad in painters’ style overalls, the crouching young woman lunges to the right, swirling a paint-laden nine-inch brush along a yard-long swath of a six-and-a-half foot painting, gracefully ending her stroke by twirling the brush up and around before its sweep in the other direction. (more…)
